Hey Zoe,
Wow - a great video :-)
I currently use the Almay mineral makeup also. I find that its great on my skin, and i dont have to put a lot on to get a good cover. I also have pale skin, and it comes in a variety of shades too, which is awesome.
Ill have to come back to fruitybeauty soon!

I tried the Tromborg stuff - it's rubbish - it's a cheap knock off / relabelling of other products you can get much cheaper (and it IS cheap stuff). The scents are sick-making and the makeup is a joke - for a professional makeup artist it's rubbish.

Hi Fruity! What a great cat! What a great blog! Yay!
Have you ever heard of Kiss Me Mascara? Is it worth the $25? It seems like a lot of money for mascara, but if it's worth it... :)

You can go to everydayminerals.com to buy their stuff - they also post you a really good free sample kit to try. They have great specials each month too, this month you get 2 free fullsize eyeshadows and a dual-fibre brush with orders over a certain amount.
For the pump brush - I got mine at cosmeticville.com,lots of different companies sell those. I think you can get them cheap at Coastal Scents too (also online) HTH.
I have been using Everday Minerals for 6 mths now and my skin has never looked or felt better - get compliments all the time.

Thanks for the great tips Fruity. There is a lot to take on board. By the way Meowbert is adorable. I'm sure you don't really think he's ridiculous.

ooh thank you fruity! I went out and bought it yesterday. Love love love it. And may I say, you look dewy and glowy and fresh and VERY VERY PRETTY.

Thx Fruity, I'd been struggling with L'Oreals mineral makeup, I went straight out & bought the Almay one & it's utterly fantastic, totally easy to use. Could I trouble you for a vid lesson in the correct use of mousse style blush, it can be dangerous in the hands of the unskilled!

thanks for that catherine. i'm going on a trek to find a mineral concealer! :)

I'd been tossing up whether or not to try mineral makeup, but when I saw this I decided to buy it, and I LOVE it! V. impressed, it looks really natural and covers nicely. I get the occasional pimple too, so hopefully using this will help. Thanks heaps Fruity! xo

Yeah.. Thanks for your comments Fruity on gift giving. I gave a bunch of $100s to the Bush Heritage Fund to save our endangered flora and fauna.. as my gift to my fam. It took 15 minutes to "buy" for everyone, no stress, and the glow is on MY face!
Love Your Work!

Mineral makeup wouldn't be my pick for party season because it's way too shiny for photos. The particles are too reflective (all that built-in sunscreen). I also discovered I'm allergic to Jane Iredale, so it is possible to be allergic to this stuff!
Besides, minerals for cosmetic use are synthetically produced. All this natural talk is just talk - stuff you dig up from the ground is actually too high in impurities (such as lead) to use on your face.

My favorite mmu brands are Everyday Minerals and Lumiere ^^ They both offer nice coverage but you still look like you're not wearing make up at all! Lumiere also offers a powder dispensing brush, I haven't tried it yet myself but i heard amazing things about their kabuki and buffer brushes.
@Angela : Of course you can wear concealer under your mineral foundation, most people do it at least to cover dark eye circles. Actually, most brands offer natural mineral concealers in all kinds of shades.

WOOOOOHOOOOO!!! IT'S MEOWBERT!!!!!!!!! Now that I've got that out of the way, thanks the video fruity, I've been trying to find a good mineral makeup lately that doesn't cost the earth and this sounds reaaallyyyy good. Anything you reccommend is always fantastic!

I find the brush and loose powder thing too hard too but have really loved the look on mineral makeup on my skin when I tried it. Has anyone tried loreals one? They have a brush in theirs too I think.....

Hmmm, it gets LOTS of bad reviews at Makeup Alley...I would recommend people try Everyday Minerals, extremely affordable and excellent makeup with no bismuth oxychloride or other yukkies. It's easy enough to buy a pump brush to put your favourite minerals in, I have two. Just a suggestion.

Hi fruity!
I have been considering buying mineral make-up for a while now as I have slightly sensitive skin, but after watching your review I'm gonna buy the Almay 2 in 1 tomorrow! I'm inspired!
BTW fabulous blog, every week I feel like a sponge trying to absorb as much of your super excellent hints and tips!
Thanks for making the world a more beautiful place fruity! xoxo
